    Simôes brothers open La Taverna del Clínic

    In a small restaurant next to the Hospital Clínic, in Barcelona, just a few meters away from the family business that their father started in 1973. They offer best-quality products in the form of tapas and creative plates.

    La Taverna receives the Cartaví Award 2013 for the best wine list in Barcelona.

  • 2014

    La Taverna Starts to Grow

    The great success of the restaurant and the chef Toni Simôes leads to the expansion of La Taverna, from 95 to 220 m2. The small tavern definitely transforms into an elegant yet cozy restaurant: chairs and lamps designed by Philippe Stark, Muxart paintings, two private rooms, and a large kitchen.

    Toni Simôes receives the award for the Best Young Chef of Catalonia.

    La Taverna receives the Cartaví Award 2015 for the best wine list in Barcelona.

    The Repsol Guide awards a Repsol Sun to La Taverna del Clínic.

    Ten years after the opening of La Taverna del Clínic, the restaurant has become one of the greatest gastronomic hubs. Thanks to the awards of the critics, the long list of customers and the priceless word of mouth, this haute cuisine restaurant that started as a humble tavern continues to expand.
